Golden POINTS!

Last night was the Golden Globes and by now you've found out the winners, but just in case here's a link for you: http://www.cnn.com/2014/01/12/showbiz/celebrity-news-gossip/2014-golden-globes-winners/

Anyways, as I was saying, the Golden Globes were on and the surprises of Brooklyn 99 as well as the extremely long acceptance speeches made for a rather lack luster event. Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler made due with this years assortment of nominees, but the entire night just fell flat like most of their forced jokes.

Now that the first award show is out of the way, we have a general direction of where the voters are making their mark. Alfonso Cuarcon will most likely win for Gravity, and special effects categorizes. American Hustle seems like the front runner for this year with three wins on the night including Best Picture for a Musical.

Depending on how the SAG awards go, Dallas Buyers Club could be the best cast to miss out on awards as it grabbed two Golden Globes for its actors McConaghy and Jest. Meanwhile, Leo will get snubbed again despite a spectacle of a performance in Wolf of Wall Street.

Awards season is under way and may the best picture win, or in some cases, the audience favorite.
